The food was outstanding and Erica was a great teacher. She had everything bought and washed, ready to dice blend and cook. caipirinhas we’re fresh and delicious. It does take a bit to get to eating so don’t arrive starving. Erica also shared a lot about her life and current events in Rio.
First of all let me say chef Erica was so sweet!! We we learned a few Brazilian dishes and got a glimpse into Brazilian life through Erica who is also a local tour guide. Hanging out with her was priceless as we hardly had a chance to talk to locals on the other tours we did.
The cooking class with Chef Alex was a blast. I have been realizing that cooking classes are a lot more fun than just dining out. It was a fast way to meet others , get tips on new experiences and taste the local food! The cassava sticks, moqueca and caipirinhas were just perfect! Would do it again!
We enjoyed learning about Brazilian food and culture while making delicious food and drinks. Chef Flavio adjusted for my kid's age (virgin drinks) and dietary needs (vegetarian). We recommend the class!

We love to enchant!
"The supermarket trip was very informative and Chef Flavio extremely knowledgeable about all the ingredients. It was brilliant fun to get hands on with the cooking and the food was amazing."
"Erica was brilliant, showing us and explaining about different Brazilian foods in the market. We enjoyed learning more about not only the food of the country but also getting an insight in Brazilian culture. Making our own caipirinhas with optional variations, having the choice between cooking steak or fish stew was brilliant, we chose the steak as we had the moqueca the day before. We left very happy with lots of new recipes and full tummies. A great way to spend an afternoon, we would highly recommend this."
"This was a great time! Chef Alex and Vania were terrific! If you come to Brazil you MUST do this tour. Plenty of fun and plenty of instructions from the two of them."
